Random Thoughts on History - "Note there was a David Hall, "free mulatto" who owned 2 enslaved people in St Michael in 1832 so one of the smaller claims around Locust Hall may be for this man instead." This was taken from David Hall - Profile & Legacies Summary 1772-1844 The profile relates to another David Hall who was British and sold Locust Hall in 1843 to William Alleyne Culpeper.
    David Hall was a merchant in Barbados, then partner in Hall McGarel in London. This slave owner willed everything to his son, Alexander Hall worth 200,000 pounds.
    I am not sure that Locust Hall refers to Locust Hill but David Hall moved his interests to the Unites States and owned at least 3 estates.
